GUITAR ART EXPO 2011

An isolated event can be considered an incident. If the acquired experience is used to repeat a past event in a recognizable, yet always new fashion, we are on to building a tradition. Symbolically, in a year that bears the area code of our city, we invite you to participate in creating another traditional Belgrade event. Guitar Art Expo 2011 is inevitable after the success of the last year's zero edition. However, this expo of guitars and music in general is the necessity of local musicians, lovers of good sound and companies that try to make their lives easier. We would like to incorporate all positive aspects of Expo 2010 into the base of this tradition. This time also the event will take place at hotel Continental, on similar dates, from 10th to 13th February 2011. The exhibitors will have a somewhat bigger space this time – there will be a special area for the builders of classical guitars so that these noble instruments could be tried out without disturbance. A stage will be set in the central part of the exhibition area that will be used for the performances of special guests, corporate promotions and spontaneous gigs. The club "Le Club" is available for clinics, lectures and special promotions. The list of guests for this year's Guitar Art Expo is not final yet, but here is a preview:

The tradition of young artists' competition will also be continued, this time in three different genres: Guitar Player Free Style (pop and rock music), Jazz Guitar Player and Ethno Guitar (for musicians up to 30 years). Their skills will be judged by a competent jury comprised of Festival's special guests. Of course, we will not forget virtual masters this year either – Expo 2011 will also host the inevitable Guitar Hero competition.

While preparing for Guitar Art Expo 2011, inspired by all the praise we received for the last year's event, we paid special attention to well-meant critique and suggestions. We are grateful for that and we invite you to spend several unforgettable winter days with us again in the glory of our favourite instrument and the music it produces.
